不要唱《Happy Birthday to You》

Keyes為我們講解這歌的歷史:1893年美國姊妹Patty 與 Mildred J. Hill 作了一首歌“Good Morning to All”給幼稚園生每朝上學時唱。

“Happy Birthday to You”歌詞去唱,很快就流行起來。 但Hill氏姊妹當正這是她們的歌,1934年Hill氏另一妹妹Jessica控告Irving Berlin 的百老匯音樂劇“As Thousands Cheer“中用了“Happy Birthday to You”這歌。

“Happy Birthday” generates an estimated $2 million each year in licensing fees for Warner/Chappell, largely from television and movie producers, and it’s not currently set to lose copyright protection until 2030.
